Our 2024 Online Summer Reading Program
Sign up through Beanstack! OR Register online and pick up a paper log!
All ages can decide which option works best for you. Parents if you have a family you want to participate and track, you will want to decide which method you will want to use for your entire family. You won't be able to do the app with one child and log for other.
Our program runs from Monday, June 3 through Saturday, July 27. Our community goal this summer is 500,000 minutes of reading and attendance at programs and completing fun activities! We can do it!
CHILDREN (INFANT to Grades 5)
Welcome to the 2024 Children's Summer Reading program. This program is open to infants through children going into fifth grade in the fall. You will have to choose between the paper option or the Beanstack (app) option. Once registered, each child will receive a free book from the book cart as a special thanks from Friends of Ericson Public Library. The following will provide instructions for each option.
Option #1: Beanstack: If you have not installed the app, you will need to download the app BEANSTACK from your app store. You will use this app to track both minutes read and activity badges. Your child will earn logging badges for every 20 minutes read to or they read on their own.
Option # 2: Paper Option: Register Online and pick up your bookmark at the Children's Department desk. You or your child will color in a circle for each 20 minutes the child is read to or reads. The bookmark back lists activities to complete to be entered into prize drawings. You must turn in your bookmark by Saturday, July 27th to be entered into the prize drawings.
Children will earn the following incentives:
You are welcome to stop in & pick-up all prizes beginning the week of June 10 or throughout the program.
