CURBSIDE PICKUP

Ericson Public Library is now offering curbside pickup.

Ericson Public Library cardholders can now request books and other items and pick them up at a Curbside. Please try to limit to 10 items  

When we call to notify you that the items are ready for pickup, or you receive a notification, please come to the library and park outside the main entrance of the library and call us to let us know you have arrived to pick up your items on hold.  We will bring them out to you.

If you have large fines or fees on your account, you may need to pay them before your holds can be checked out. Please contact the library for payment options. 

To place items on hold:

Log in to your account on the Library's catalog using your Library card number and PIN. (If you have trouble logging in, please call 515-432-3727 ext. 2.)

Find an item you want.

Check the item's "availability" to make sure we have the copy checked in. Recently returned items in temporary quarantine may not be available to fill requests.

Click "Place Request" and confirm your hold request.

When items are pulled from our shelves we will call to schedule your Curbside Holds Pickup appointment.  You should receive a confirmation e-mail of the appointment if you give us your email address.  We will have times available for pickup from 10am to 6pm.  Please park outside the front main entrance to the library at your specified time and call (515) 432-3727 ext. 2 and we will have staff bring out your items in a bag to place on the hood of your car.  Please wait after staff has reached the sidewalk to retrieve items.  We are not accepting returns in person; please return all materials to the outdoor book drop.

We will quarantine items for 5 days.  When we go to check in the items, we will back-date it to the day we took it out of the book drop so no fines will be charged.  We are also implementing auto renewal to make it more convenient for patrons to continue using the library without any blocks on your account.  

We are not accepting donations at this point.  We are still answering questions, helping with technology and online resources and doing virtual programming.  Be sure to like us on facebook!
