Adult Programs

Ongoing Programs

We strive to provide entertaining and informative programming at the library. We offer a variety of ongoing programs that occur on a consistent schedule each month, including the following:

Quilts and Crafts - An opportunity on the first Saturday of every month for people to work on sewing and crafts projects in the second floor Meeting Room.

Knit Night - An informal, drop-in program which meets every Tuesday evening in the first floor Fireplace Room for people to work on current knitting/crocheting projects, help others to learn these skills, and to chat.

Book Discussion Group - This group meets every third Tuesday evening to discuss and review thought-provoking books which stimulate conversation on current and past topics. Meets in the second floor Meeting Room or the northeast corner of the second floor fiction area.

Writers Workshop - An informal, drop-in group of writers of all genres, experiences, and ages that are welcome to share current projects and critique the writing of others. Meets in the second floor Meeting Room.

To find out more about these ongoing programs, check our online or paper calendar (available at any desk), or follow us on Facebook!

Special Programs

Throughout the year, we seek out opportunities to provide exciting, engaging, and informative programs for adults. Many of these special programs would not be possible without the grants our library staff apply to and are awarded. We also partner with many individuals, professionals, and organizations to ensure we work collaboratively and effectively to bring pertinent and timely information to our patrons.  We offer a fantastic summer reading program every year and bring performers and concerts to the library for everyone's enjoyment. We provide workshops and training sessions on technology, job skill development, healthcare, financial literacy, and education.Through grants, we have been able to provide art programs for adults to enhance their creativity, curiosity, and relaxation. Also, through outreach opportunities in our community, we are able to bring the library to people that may not be able to physically attend programs at the library anymore.

These special programs are scheduled every month to feature fun, engaging, informative, and educational programs. Check our printed or online calendar for these special opportunities!
